WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

  • 40 Erin Street Queanbeyan, NSW, 2620 Australia (map)

Walk and talk with Tom Baker at Riverside Cemetery from 10am. This was the site of the 2022 National Tree Day event. Learn what The Friends of Queanbeyan River are planning at this site via the link below.

Meet at Queanbeyan River below the Historic Cemetery at the end of Erin Street, turn left to ample parking down laneway.  We will inspect the Friends of Queanbeyan River project and then walk downstream to the historic Railway Bridge and return, to take in history and nature.  The group will observe and discuss the huge, lovely ‘apple box’ among the graves, Eucalyptus bridgesiana. The walk will finish about 11.30am.
